MIPS "C" Compilers
You will need a C compiler that generates MIPS code. This is used
to compile the modules in the lib, mon, and pmon directories.
LSI currently supports the following toolsets.
- Algorithmics
- Algorithmics sells (among other things) a MIPS
cross compiler package (based on the GNU compiler)
and evaluation boards for MIPS CPUs.
- Cygnus Solutions
- Cygnus Solutions sells support for the GNU compiler package.
Their compiler does support the MIPS16
instruction set.
- BSO/Tasking
- BSO/Tasking sells (among other things) a cross compiler
for MIPS CPUs. They also sell a GUI debugger (Crossview) that
can interface directly with a serialIce-1 kernel. Without the
need for the SerialICE Controller board.
-
Embedded Performance
- Embedded Performance sells (among other things) a cross
compiler for MIPS CPUs.
-
Green Hills Software
- Green Hills sells (among other things) a cross
compiler for MIPS CPUs. Their compiler does support the MIPS16
instruction set. They also sell a GUI debugger (Multi) that
can interface directly with a serialIce-1 kernel, without the
need for the SerialICE Controller board.
