Getting Started with SerialICE-1B

What You'll Need
  • A Host computer system running Windows 95/98 or NT
  • A Target board
To run an application program on your Target using SerialICE-1B, perform the following steps:

  1. If you haven't done so already, Download the PMON source from the Web site.
  2. Next you need to Extract the files from the archive.

  3. To configure the package, you need to run the Install program specifiying the correct target type.

  4. To prepare the package for use you must Build the package.
  5. Configure your hardware.

    SerialICE-1B requires either an RS232 link between your host your target, or a high-speed serial connection via a Wiggler.

  6. Build, Download and Execute your application on the Target.
