DMZ
Enable DMZ
  • The "DMZ" PC will receive all "Unknown" connections and data.
  • The DMZ PC is effectively outside the Firewall, making it more vunerable to attacks. For this reason, you should only enable the DMS feature when required.
  • If DMZ is enabled, you must select the PC to be used as the "DMZ" PC.

Special Applications

  • Special Applications are any Internet applications which cannot work through the built-in firewall.
  • If an Internet application does not work correctly, you can define it as a "Special Application". Click the "Configure Special Applications" button to open the "Special Applications" screen.
  • Only one (1) user can use a Special Application at any time.
  • If the application still does not work, try using the "DMZ" feature.

URL Filter
URL Filter The URL filter can be used to block access to undesirable Web sites. Select the desired option for this feature:
  • Disable - disable this feature.
  • Block By Schedule - block access according to the settings on the Schedule page.
  • Block Always - block access all of the time, independant of the Schedule page.

Click the "Configure URL Filter" button to enter or change the "filter strings" which determine which sites are blocked.
